About Me

("Who Am I?")

If you're here I'm assuming you've gone through my Resume, scrolled through my Professional Projects, maybe glanced at some of my Personal Projects and hopefully extracted some glimpses of me: A curiosity-driven person that thrives in learning to solve many sorts of problems doesn't really want to be defined by titles; Someone with a passion for the play who dreams of simulating his own virtual worlds; A creative and somewhat artistic soul, a tad ironic and possibly prolixious;

This portfolio is partly about showcasing my work to a client or recruiter, and partly about self-discovery. As I worked on it, I was attempting to explore my own past accomplishments in order to better define myself. These inner-journeys can often be very confusing and bleed into the content: Is this the portfolio of a Product Manager as in the header? Designer as my formal education would have it? Game Developer as in the personal projects? Marketer? Problem Solver? While writing I felt unable to just pick a single "title", it felt insufficient. I wanted to be everything, so in the end I chose all of it – and none too.

I can only wonder what LinkedIn coaches would think of this approach: "It's too broad"; "You're not playing into your strengths"; "The market is becoming more and more specialized."; That is valid criticism, but in my experience the most inspiring and amazing professionals I've met never shied away from their multiplicities and brought their whole conflicting selves to work. Folks who are much more than the sum of their titles. Who are like entire teams rolled into a unit. Containing within their singular selves the same synergies – and even dissonances – that often manifest only in collectives.

If these pages all read a bit too heartfelt and earnest, it's because I too strive to bring all of my self to work just as those who inspire me. I believe that by not shying away from the manifold of my being as I make my pitch to the corporate world I will accomplish the goal of knowing myself a little bit better and be a better professional for it.

Hopefully so that I can create great things with you.

Thanks for reading!
